Abstract

Problems that arise from page layout errors can often be solved by using a register element, as discussed in the previous chapter. A register element is a fill-in for a document to be printed within a so-called “Register Document”. In other words, any document with a register element on the first page (further pages are being ignored) is a register document. It is usually used to add crop marks and registration marks during output. You would, for example, position a register element of A4 size on a B4 page (see 2.3 “Elements”), activate the crop marks, and set two registration marks (see the document “Passer-Beispiel.1Vdoc” in the “OneVision/Beispieldokumente” folder on the OneVision CD).
