Features and Characteristics of Modern Weighing Cells a) Strain Gauge Load Cells

Summary

Construction and characteristics of strain gauge weighing cells will be described by block-pictures with construction part of a weighing cell and with sketch of different types of frequently used measuring springs.

By the example of a double cylinder weighing cell a construction with integrated load introduction and transverse load consideration and overload protection is explained.

The most important characteristics of VDI/VDE direction 2637 will be explained. The environmental influences affecting on the weighing cell will be described.
