Abstract
In our book we have examined a specific case study of great relevance within the theoretical framework of what came to be known as “classical behavior of a quantum system”. In its most general form, the problem consists in investigating causes and conditions under which a more particular theory, such as for instance classical mechanics, can be reduced to and deduced from an assumed more general theory like quantum mechanics. The problem in question is crucial both from the applicative as well as from the conceptual point of view, as is well acknowledged.
