Abstract
The concepts of “system” and “signal” are very general and encompass a broad range of applications. Therefore, it is not easy to define them precisely without making compromises in terms of generality. However, by means of descriptions and by giving some examples, it is possible to create a common and acceptable understanding of these concepts.
