Zusammenfassung

Mit der Entwicklung neuer Implantate und der Verbesserung operativer Verfahren war um die Jahrtausendwende ein deutlicher Trend zur operativen Versorgung der proximalen Humerusfraktur zu verzeichnen (Bell et al. 2011). Hierbei zeigt sich insbesondere eine Zunahme der primären Osteosynthese mittels winkelstabiler Implantate sowie der endoprothetischen Versorgung.
