Abstract

Modeling and analysis of time is a key issue for the correct development of an automotive distributed embedded system. The paper presents new extensions of the Time Augmented Description Language (TADL), applicable at different abstraction levels of an EAST-ADL/AUTOSAR design. The new extensions enable a precise modeling of multi clock characteristics of distributed systems together with parameterized timing expressions. In this paper, we highlight some critical issues for the high–level time modeling of a Box Servitude Generic-External (BSG-E) provided by Delphi. This industrial example illustrates timing constraints coming from both hardware and software parts of the system.
