Photoemission Measurements of Soot Temperature at Pyrolysis of Ethylene in the Shock Tube
Soot formation has attracted scientists’ attention for many years. Because soot (black carbon) is a widely used industrial product so it is necessary to know optimal production conditions. Secondly, soot nano- and submicron particles are formed in engines and industrial power stations cause negative consequences in their operation. Furthermore during recent years, concerns about the health impact of particulate emissions of fossil combustion processes have fostered the development of sophisticated diagnostic methods for in situ soot measurements.
