Abstract

Consider a multi-user system characterized by K interference functions

$$ {\mathcal I}_1(r), {\mathcal I}_2(r),..., {\mathcal I}_K(r),$$

which all depend on the same resource vector \(r \in{\mathbb R}^K_+\) . We begin with the most general case where the interference functions are only characterized by the axioms A1, A2, A3 (see p. 4 in Section 1.2). The overall performance of the system is typically a function of all interference values, which depend on the same underlying resource vector r. Specific examples were already discussed in Section 1.4.
