Facial Fillers

Chapter

Abstract

The development of biocompatible, temporary, and long-lasting fillers for soft tissue augmentation has had a significant impact on the practice of cosmetic surgery. Injectable fillers reduce and soften wrinkles, enhance features, and provide facial volume and contouring. The history of facial fillers, the types of fillers, choosing the right fillers, pretreatment considerations, technique, and complications are discussed.
