Clinical Sign-Based Fish Disease Diagnosis Aid System
Abstract
This paper presents a fish disease diagnosis aid system capable of faster treatment of infected fish in order to prevent the spread of disease. The proposed system is a clinical sign-based diagnosis from the initial sketchy observations of the symptoms. The system suggests candidate diseases with parsed selection based on water temperature, growth phase of the diseased fish, external clinical signs, internal clinical signs and microscopic observations and provides the information treatment and prevention methods on the diagnosed disease by a connected web server through internet. The designed fish disease diagnosis system was implemented to diagnose 14 diseases of flatfish. The system can support fish farmers and fish doctors by providing easy diagnosis of diseased flatfish.
