Mesh Repair in the Groin: for Every Hernia at all Ages?
Conference paper
Abstract
The indication for mesh repair in the groin is still controversial. In general, the evaluation of pros and cons should respect that the quality of hernia surgery is mainly represented by its recurrence rate and, of course, by the patient’s comfort. Therefore, a nearer understanding of these two end points is essential in the decision making concerning the application of mesh materials or conventional suture repair.
