Newtonian Physics

Chapter

Abstract

Newtonian Physics is the first theory of physics which was formulated scientifically and became the milestone for the Theory of Special (and General) Relativity. All relativistic ideas are hidden into the Newtonian structure, therefore it is imperative that before we proceed with the development of the Theory of Special Relativity, we examine Newtonian Physics from the relativistic point of view. In the standard treatment, the concepts and the structure of Newtonian Physics are distinguished in a fundamental (and not formal as it is often stated) way, in two parts: kinematics and dynamics.
