Treatment: Improvement

Abstract

Improvement is first detected by decreased or absent vascularity in previously vascular region. This may occur within minutes from thermal therapies to months following hormonal treatments. A lack of vascular change in 2 months signals the treatment is not working. Size changes are indeterminate since internal necrosis with fluid retention may enlarge the size and fibrosis may decrease tumor volume.
