Hydraulic Residence Time Distribution

Abstract
By using the distribution of the hydraulic residence time in a reactor (the residence time distribution, RTD) we characterize the mixing and the internal transport processes in a reactor. The comparison between the theoretically computed and experimentally determined RTD helps us to develop mathematical models of real reactors.
