The μSR Technique

Part of the Lecture Notes in Physics Monographs book series (LNPMGR, volume 30)

Abstract

This chapter describes the μSR techniques which are employed in most experiments today. Transverse, longitudinal, and zero field geometries are discussed and the kinds of experimental results often obtained are shown. A brief introduction to precession is given and applied to the time evolution of the muon’s polarization.
