A Randomised Test Approach to Testing Safety Critical Ada Code
Conference paper
Abstract
The on board safety critical Ada code for the Indian Light Combat Aircraft, Tejas, has been tested in a Non Real Time (NRT) mode. This method of testing has a few drawbacks. The methodology suffers with certain deficiencies in areas such as coverage metrics, test case generation, and test case selection for regression testing. These drawbacks can be removed by using Randomised Test Approach to generate the test cases. This paper details the philosophy and presents some results of optimising test case generation using Genetic Algorithms.
