Zusammenfassung

Die Welt ist ständig großen demographischen Wandlungen unterworfen (Guadalup und Lum 2005; Hodge 2005; Jordan 2008). Diese Veränderungen erhöhen die Mannigfaltigkeit, mit der Sozialarbeiter bei ihrer täglichen Arbeit konfrontiert werden. Die Komplexität der kulturellen Vielfalt berührt alle Aspekte der professionellen Sozialen Arbeit. SozialarbeiterInnen müssen sich bemühen, einer stets wachsenden Bandbreite von Klienten eine kulturell kompetente Dienstleistung anzubieten. (vgl. Hodge 2005; Lawrence u. a. 2009; Madsen 2007; Pedersen 1991; Sue 2006)
