Abstract

The papers presented in this section deal with the study of turbulent fluid flows by direct numerical simulation (DNS) and large-eddy simulation (LES). In the past decade the development and improvement of these two closely related flow-simulation techniques have been strongly stimulated by the rapidly increasing performance of modern supercomputers.
