Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel sollen die Grundlagen für multimediale Daten und Medien behandelt werden. Im Mittelpunkt stehen hier vor allem Bilder, Audio und Video, die Grundlagen ihrer Wahrnehmung sowie die korrespondierenden Technologien. Auf die gängigen Formate und Standards zur Speicherung der Daten in Dateien wird später in Kapitel 2.3 eingegangen. Der Schwerpunkt liegt bei den kontinuierlichen Medien Audio und Video. Zunächst soll aber eine Erläuterung und Klassifikation multimedialer Daten vorgenommen werden, sowie die Entwicklung von Text zu Hypertext und Hypermedia nachgezeichnet werden.
