Abstract

The perception of the body and the body image is a tool of the intrapsychic relationship and of that with the external world. Identifying the characteristics and any possibly related diseases is a must for the psychosexologist in the anamnesis prior to andrological surgery.

Adequacy and inadequacy depend on the subjective perception of the body, and the medical team must compare the actual soma with the one idealized by the patient.
