Abstract

There are numerous mechanisms that can cause various pain syndromes including nociceptive pain, neuropathic pain, and psychosomatic pain. Histamine release can be associated with pain from stimulating factors such as inflammation and allergic reactions. There are a variety of antihistamines available both over the counter and prescription to assist with controlling pain.
