Regenerative Medicine (RM) is an emerging area of medical practice with the goal of restoring or establishing normal function by replacing, engineering, or regenerating human cells, tissues, or organs that have been lost or injured due to age, disease, or congenital defects. RM injections include the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and mesenchymal stem cells. Level 1 evidence supports the efficacy of RM techniques in the treatment of common musculoskeletal injuries.
