Importance of General Health Status in Preoperative Evaluation

Patients in chronic pain tend to have other comorbidities. Preoperative evaluation for patient going to surgery is very important to reduce the development of postoperative complications. This evaluation is important to develop perioperative pain management plan for chronic pain patients to reduce the use of opioids which can cause complications after surgery.
