Spectroscopic Methods

  • Yury A. Zolotov

Russian scientists developed electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (B. V. L’vov), made a significant contribution to luminescence analysis (the notion of a quantum yield, the Shpol’skii effect, etc.), proposed X-ray polycapillary optics (M. A. Kumakhov), developed the X-ray radiometric method (A. L. Yakubovich), and discovered electron spin resonance (E. K. Zavoiskii).
