Evaluation of Liver Nodule
Radiographic imaging has become increasingly more prevalent in the clinical workup of a vast array of different diseases. This has led to an increase in incidental liver findings. While some patients with liver masses present with symptoms such as abdominal pain or a palpable mass, many present asymptomatically with a lesion found during an unrelated workup. The diagnosis of common liver masses can be made based on history and physical examination, laboratory testing, and radiographic imaging, with biopsy as needed.
