Abstract

Melanoma is an aggressive skin cancer that accounts for a majority of death from cutaneous malignancy. Treatment is based on the depth of the tumor and the status of the sentinel node. A small percentage of patients will present with metastatic disease; they should be offered systemic therapy or a clinical trial.
