Abstract

This chapter describes the pattern “Provenance and context of digital photographs”. The episode describes the activities of Robert for getting the provenance of a particular digital photo. The technical sections describe metadata for image files, formats for storing and exchanging these metadata (i.e. Exif metadata), and the modeling of provenance in general.
