Synthesis of Ag/TiO2 Nanocomposite for Waste Water Treatment

Abstract

Herein, Ag/TiO2 nanocomposites were synthesized by simple chemical method. The structural parameters of the obtained Ag/TiO2 nanocomposites were investigated using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The photocatalytic activity of Ag/TiO2 nanocomposite was investigated by studying the degradation of Methyl orange dye as a function of irradiation time under UV illuminator which is used as a model pollutant present in water.
