Abstract
Our daily life is presented with more data than we need. Augmented graphic thinking is born in a context that oscillates between infoxication and the wealth of sociabilized information. Creating efficient processes to analyze them in an integrative approach that involves the architectural design, the built environment and the environment, leads decision making towards a performance-oriented architecture. The challenge is to operate towards predictive models integrating algorithmic, heuristic and manufacturing processes. This is how we expand horizons through the instrumental resources of representation, simulation, computational design, digital manufacturing and computational making. The experimentation and systematization of flexible processes and their new instrumental links in the stages of ideation are key to increase the possibilities of an integrative design thinking. The experimental workshops and research developed in three Latin American universities in Argentina and Brazil over a decade of work have demonstrated the exploratory richness underlying the concepts and instruments cited.
