Solution-Focused Resilience

A solution-focused approach is not simply the flip side of problem-focused coping; it is a fundamentally different model. Traditionally, we lean towards a problem focus, by fixating on what the problem is, what caused it and trying to get away from it, a sort of cause-consequence-cure approach. This means rooting ourselves in the origination rather than the destination. In many cases this can, of course, be an effective self-management tool, so it is not to be disregarded or ignored.
