Electronic Properties of Defects in Carbon Nanotubes

Abstract

It shows the influence of the edge dislocations in the electrical conductivity of multilayer carbon nanotubes. Defects in such structures can be formed in the processes of synthesis or under external influence. In this case, its formed in the synthesis process. During cyclic deformation CNT array containing edge dislocations, nanotubes are targeted and ordering, and on the dependence of conductivity of array density, there is a two-stage jumping conductivity by several orders, combined stair.
