Abstract

The following chapter gives a structured and detailed description on how to approach eyes with proliferative diabetic retinopathy. The surgical approach for an easy proliferative diabetic retinopathy is shown. A typical example for an easy proliferative diabetic retinopathy is a vitreous hemorrhage without retinal tractions. The timing is of utmost importance. We propose a stepwise approach for first cataract surgery with anti-VEGF injection and then a delayed vitrectomy.
