Abstract

In this chapter the authors present three different versions of the same technique for performing endoscopic lumbar sympathectomy (ELS) for the treatment of plantar hyperhidrosis.

Important technical details as well as illustrated surgical steps are presented and discussed.

ELS is a feasible but a potentially dangerous operation; surgeons must be well-trained before starting to perform it.
