Abstract

Multidisciplinary team (MDT) Meetings or MDM have been the cornerstone of cancer services for many decades. Within Gynaecology the core members need to include a minimum of two surgeons, a medical oncologist, a clinical oncologist, a Clinical Nurse Specialist, a radiologist and pathologist with many other extended members such as palliative care physicians, urologists, plastics and colorectal surgeons. In spite of joint working litigation can ensue and usually relates to decisions based on insufficient information. These are highlighted in this chapter.
