Radiology: The Basics

Having an understanding of basic radiology is crucial in orthopaedics. It is important to have an appreciation for which imaging modality is the ideal choice for a particular clinical question. Furthermore, one needs to develop a systematic approach for the evaluation of these studies so as not to misinterpret or overlook a clinically significant finding. This chapter highlights some of the important points one should be aware of while obtaining imaging in orthopaedics.
