Abstract

Neuroimaging is paramount in the medical management of glial tumours. Through various imaging modalities, radiologists provide essential information about tumours and guide treatments. Alongside tumour location and complications, imaging is also able to give a strong indication of tumour grade, a key factor in determining treatment pathways. Once a diagnosis has been established, neuroimaging is then often relied on for monitoring low-grade tumours for transformation as well as post-treatment follow-up of higher-grade tumours.
