There are a variety of techniques for reconstruction of the nipple-areola complex. The authors describe their technique markas an island flap and raising the flaps maintaining the central portion attached at the mid base to form the neonipple. The inguinal graft is placed over the raw area around the nipple, and the nipple also is sutured around the periphery of the new areola. The projection remains and presents a satisfactory three-dimensional perception.
