The selection of proper mode of surgical or combined therapy in colorectal cancer depends on various clinical factors. Surgical treatment remains the most important component of the therapy. Quality of surgery has to be based on several fundamental principles. The knowledge of all these factors allows to obtain the best results of treatment.
