Abstract

This chapter outlines the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, inheritance, and incidence of factor XIII deficiency. The chapter describes the interaction with pregnancy and discusses the medical and anesthetic management of pregnant women with factor XIII deficiency, including treatment of acute hemorrhage.
