Wheelchair Sports Technology and Biomechanics

Abstract
This chapter covers the biomechanics of wheelchair technology as applied to various popular wheelchair sports. Each chair must be designed according the goals of the sport—e.g., speed for racing, stability for rugby, etc.—and then specially fitted for the athlete.
