Stakeholders to Sustainable Value Management

Abstract

This chapter explains how project stakeholders and participants of sustainable construction can be incorporated into value management practice and study in the quest of achieving sustainable construction projects. Stakeholders to sustainable value management team were identified as internal or external members. Cost of value management, which is related to the selection and number of team members, was noted as one of the risks of value manager. The size of the team should be large enough to allow for the generation of various ideas, brainstorming and delegation of responsibilities; it should also be few enough to reduce the cost of the study. Care should therefore be taken by the facilitator of sustainable value management to ensure that there are not too many participants when trying to include all relevant members in the team.
