Spectroscopy of Flavin-Containing Proteins: Theoretical Insights

Chapter
Part of the Springer Series in Chemical Physics book series (CHEMICAL, volume 115)

Abstract

This chapter describes the theoretical insights of the spectroscopy of flavin-containing proteins. BLUF and iLOV proteins are discussed as two representative examples and the origin of the spectral properties is explained on the basis of molecular modeling.
