Abstract

Treatment for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) involves prevention of lesion formation, treatment of existing lesions before they develop into chronic sinus tracts, and elimination of existing nodules and sinus tracts before extensive scarring occurs. Therapeutic approaches include non-pharmacologic lifestyle modifications, topical and systemic agents, phototherapy and radiotherapy, and surgical interventions [1].
