First Online:
Abstract
The microscopic mechanism at the origin of the superconductivity emerged in two stages. The first was the proof, by Leon COOPER, that two electrons at the FERMI level with an attractive interaction form a bound state and constitute a pair, now called the “COOPER pair.”
