Conference paper

Abstract
Results of our recent and earlier investigations of the behaviour of several silicate glasses under plate impact loading are briefly overviewed. The discussions include anomalous compressibility of glasses in the compression and tension domains, the failure wave phenomena and an appearance of dissipative processes at shock compression of glasses.
