This paper analyzes the information literacy competences of Swiss Library and Information Science students, in the context of the international Information Literacy Survey, supervised by the Department of Information Science at Hacettepe University of Ankara. The study has been conducted by the Department of Information Science at the University of Applied Sciences in Geneva in collaboration with the Information Science Department at the University of Applied Sciences in Chur. For this study, a very small convenience sampling method has been used. Therefore, the findings are not representative for the basic population of all LIS bachelor students in Switzerland, but refer only to the respondents.
