Project of Autonomous Control System in HUSAR Lunar Mining Rover

  • Conference paper
Mechatronics 2013

Abstract

In near future, autonomous space rovers operating on near-Earth objects will become widely used. HUSAR lunar mining rover is prototype construction designed to participate in NASA Lunabotics Mining Competiton. In this paper the concept of high-level autonomous control, low-level PLC-based operations and communication between working rover and ground station manned by human operator/supervisor is presented and discussed.
