Abstract
A 65-year-old female underwent a laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy because of vaginal prolapse. Laparoscopy was converted to laparotomy because of multiple adhesions. A polypropylene mesh was sutured to the vaginal apex and at the promontory. Multiple complications occurred in the postoperative course, including a perirectal hematoma and rectal perforation. Relaparotomy followed.
