Abstract

Pediatric subarachnoid haemorrhage is an uncommon clinical etiology but one with profound and potentially devastating consequences. Trauma is the most common culprit followed by aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and tumors. This paper presents an overview of this clinical entity and discusses in detail these underlying causes and their respective treatments to aid the practitioner in the diagnosis and management of subarachnoid haemorrhage in the pediatric population.
