Abstract

In the Karlsruhe polarization experiments the elastic scattering of 52 MeV deuterons on 12C is used for polarization calibration. For some angles the vector analysing power is known from a double scattering experiment 1). The angular dependence of these data was confirmed by our measurements with the vector polarized beam from C-LASKA. Furthermore, the cross section and the vector analysing power of the inelastic scattering (J=2+, Q= −4,43 MeV and J=3, Q= −9,64 MeV) has been determined simultaneously.
